Summary
Platinum Poker is a serious newcomer, popular for its free rolls, Texas Holdem tournaments and easy to beat games. Platinum Poker shares its technology and player base with the large Tribeca Table network (Victor Chandler Poker, etc). Platinum Poker is one of the very few rooms in the network, which is open for US players. The software has a nice interface and offers good playability. This poker room offers quite soft games (easy to win) and a lot of high-value free rolls. The highest traffic at Platinum Poker is at the low/medium buy-in Texas Holdem tournaments. Real money player statistics - July 2005: 800-1100 ring game players at peak hours, 2700-3300 tournament players at peak hours.

Software and graphics
Platinum Poker software is developed by Tribeca Tables, with nice graphics and good functionality. On the positive side, there are features like; buddy list function, private tables, pot- and no-limit ring games, live floor managers, overall nice graphics and multi-table tournaments. However, there are some negative points such as only Texas Holdem and Omaha games, with almost no traffic at the Omaha tables.

Ring game traffic
The Platinum Poker network currently has 800-1100 ring game players at peak hours.

Tournament traffic
The traffic at the tournaments is better than at ring games, with 2700-3300 players currently at peak hours.

Game variety
The game variety at Platinum Poker is not so good, with only Holdem and Omaha Hi-Lo and High (all available in both limit, pot-limit and Holdem in no-limit as well). Table stakes are from $0.02/$0.04 to $10/$20. There are both single- and multi-table tournaments. Within shortly seven-card stud High and Hi-Lo will be added.

Rake
The rake at Platinum Poker is at the average of the industry. On fixed limit tables up to $1/$2 there is a $1 max rake, on all other tables there is a max $3 rake. There is a "no flop - no drop" policy for hands not reaching the flop.

Soft competition
The competition is quite soft at Platinum Poker, thanks to the clientele from other network partners such as Victor Chandler (online sports book) and Golden Palace (online casino). There are not many high stakes games though, so for players looking to make good hourly net profit, Platinum Poker is just OK, not great.

Sign up bonus
Platinum Poker offers a 25% bonus match up to $100 awarded at 12,500 action points. You will be required to accumulate 125 Action Points for every $1 of bonus before the bonus will be credited to your account. To get 12,500 action points you typically need to play about 6-10 hours at $3/$6 limit games.

Loyalty bonus
Yes "action points", which are redeemable for various products. The available points from a raked pot will be distributed to all participating players on a pro-rata (percentage) basis.

Promotions
There are very frequent free rolls for action points at Platinum Poker, typically 5 to 6 per day with prize pools of $200-$2,500 for about 300 to 15,000 action points.

Support
There is both live online and telephone support, as well as email support at Platinum Poker.

Financial security
Should be secure, with a solid operation and being part of a well-established network. High score.
