Summary
Bugsys Club is a relatively new poker room, but with good software and decent player traffic. (It is backed by the poker portal PokerPages.com and PokerSchoolOnline) There are very few high stakes games as many players are newbies from the poker school. Real money player statistics - May 2005: 100-160 ring game players at peak hours, 1000-1500 tournament players at peak hours.

Software and graphics
Bugsys Club has been ambitious by creating different and pedagogical software, which should get due credit. Overall the software is not better than other top rooms, but offers a fresh style, which is not the typical "copy cat" of Paradise Poker (which has often been the case of other new rooms).

Ring game traffic
Low, with around 100-150 real money ring game players at peak hours. Mostly at very low limits.

Tournament traffic
Low, with around 1000-1500 real money tournament players at peak hours.

Game variety
The site offers the standard games, with holdem, Omaha and seven-card stud (Hi and Hi-Lo), with pot- and no-limit games where feasible. Both single- and multi-table tournaments are offered. Heads Up games are currently only offered for holdem NL.

Rake
The rake is not especially attractive, beside for real low limit games. The rake for the high limit games is OK, with $1 taken as the pot reaches $40, $70 and $100. For all other games the max rake of $3 is reached already at $60, where 5% of the pot is taken in frequent intervals. Currently there is a 10% on fee charged for all tournaments with buy-ins from $5 up to $50.

Soft competition
We have limited experience in order to make an informed assessment, but the competition seems modest (i.e. lower than at most leading rooms).

Sign up bonus
Up to $100 with a 20% deposit match. In order to get the maximum $100 bonus, deposit $500 and get 1000 "Bugsys Bonus Points", one point is awarded for each hand dealt into with either minimum $ 0.50 rake in low fixed limit or $1.00 in higher fixed limit, or pot- or no-limit. Tournaments are awarded 5 points for each dollar in tournament fee. Bonus is paid out $10 for each 100 points earned. No time limit to earn the points.

Loyalty bonus
"Bugsys Bonus Points", one point is awarded for each hand dealt into with either minimum $ 0.50 rake in low fixed limit ($1/$2 or lower) or $1.00 in higher fixed limit, or pot- or no-limit. Tournaments are awarded 5 points for each dollar in tournament fee. Points are uses for tournament entries or paid out as cash. Bonus is paid out $10 for each 100 points earned.

Promotions
There are a good number of promotions. There are several monthly Bugsy Leagues, where players score points towards Bugsys Leagues throughout the month by participating in qualified, raked, real money ring games. There are cash added BBP Buy-in Tournaments every month. They are currently the last full Saturday to Friday of the month.

Support
Good. There is live customer support 24/7 and email support. Telephone support will be added shortly according to website.

Financial security
Should be secure, with the professional operations and the numerous endorsers. Good score.
