Question: What is a poker run for dirtbikes?

A local dirtbike club is doing a poker run this month and i m not sure what it is.......is it like a harescramble or somthin?

Well most dirt bike clubs actually started as motorcycle clubs, around here in illinois we hold a variety of poker runs every year for fallen members of the club and war vets that were k.i.a. who rode for the club or belong to the club in some sort of way. Its basicly a fundraiser in a way. The stops are usually bars and they donate money to the cause. It is mainly for guys who ride motorcycles but are club allows anyone with the spirit to join. Our last poker run was for one of my friends dad. We let anyone come, Tractors, cars, even had a few semi trucks. Its a real good time, you meet alot of new people an usually their is a big party at the end of the run. Look into your local clubs details but generally a poker run is on road bikes not on the trails. Let the spirit live on Live free Ride hard

A poker run is not a race. You ride a course whether on road or off road. Along the way there are check points. At the check point you draw a card. At the end person with the best poker hand wins. Poker runs are a lot of fun. Never did an off road poker run, but did many on my motorcycle and one run on my bicycle.

Its where you race til you reach certain points called checkpoints. you usually go through big rectangular boxes. then you go through them til u finish

Riders go to different checkpoints and receive a card at each one. At the end of the run, the rider with the highest poker hand wins!!!
