Question: Why do poker and nascar go hand in hand?
(Posted by: CK on 2009-08-21 12:37:01)
I've noticed that Poker and NASCAR have been promoting eachother a lot. Why is that? Serious answers please. |

Neither one is a sport By your definition, chess, leap frog, Jenga and jacks are all sports. For the record, Poker is a money game, played with cards. And for those who don't understand this...thanks for your years of donations |

Loki, NASCAR is a sport. A sport is something that requires a certain set of mental and physical abilities. NASCAR DEFINITELY fits the bill, and if you don't think it does, you don't know crap about NASCAR and have no business bashing it. Why are you even in this section, if you hate NASCAR so much? Kinda dumb to do that in my opinion. I don't know, I've noticed and wondered too...... I don't got a single clue. |

Good question. I'm sure both parties have done extensive research & found an unexplored overlap of fans. I haven't noticed this in past years, so that's why I have to believe this was previously unrealized. |

Possibly because at a recent World Series of Poker event, former NBA Star Charles Barkley dissed poker as not being a sport and finished his sentence by "neither is NASCAR ". |

I'm not sure, Jason White was a driver entering Poker since then. |
